CASE STUDY

Auditing Software

In response to an increasing need for streamlined, precise, and efficient auditing processes, I was tasked with designing an auditing software solution that empowers organizations to execute and manage audits easily. The software offers an intuitive interface coupled with robust data analytics, allowing users to perform real-time audits and rapidly produce actionable insights. Key features include automated scheduling, flagging items for review, and compliance tracking, all of which can be tailored to the specific needs of each organization.

The Project.

Nverify was created for “users to take control of their auditing process and give access to all the data needed to generate audits that enable positive exam results.

Journey Map.

The journey map highlights a user-centered experience that simplifies and enhances each step of the audit process. Users are guided through automated scheduling, flagging items for review, and assigning roles for review, facilitation, and auditor. Each stage is designed to reduce complexity, foster collaboration, and provide clarity. The journey map also emphasizes touchpoints where users can access support, ensuring they feel confident and supported throughout the audit workflow.

How Might We.

Once we understood the challenges auditors faced, we were able to run our How Might We sprints with a shared understanding of their ideal process and workflow.

Step 2 – Presentation

Ideation.

After we had our concept and direction selected, we began the prototype phase. We started this phase with a Google Design Sprint using pen and paper to draw possible ways that the product could flow. After pitching our ideas to each other and dot voting on the best components, we began wire-framing and rapid prototyping different options.

Emphasis was put on information architecture and hierarchy to create the most natural and fluid experience for users.

Story Map

Personas.

User personas are fictional representations of key audience segments based on real data and research. They capture important details like demographics, goals, needs, behaviors, and pain points, helping designers keep the user’s perspective at the forefront throughout the design process. By referencing personas, I made more informed decisions, ensuring that features, content, and interactions resonated with our actual users. User personas foster empathy and alignment within the team, making it easier to create a user-centered experience tailored to the specific characteristics and motivations of target users.

Step 6 – Personas

The Solution.

The solution is an online tool made to expose remediation areas and enabling transparency if regulators request more data. Users are also able to identify opportunities for internal process improvement and have peace of mind knowing the audit is done correctly and build safety, soundness, and success around that knowledge.

The Solution

Conclusion.

The Nverify audit user experience process has proven to be highly successful, transforming complex auditing tasks into a streamlined, intuitive journey that enhances user satisfaction and operational efficiency. By prioritizing clarity, automation, and accessibility, NVerify has empowered users to complete audits with greater accuracy and speed, significantly reducing manual input and associated errors. The customizable features and user-centric design have made it adaptable to diverse organizational needs, further solidifying its value. Feedback has shown that NVerify not only simplifies the auditing experience but also elevates it, setting a new standard for usability in compliance and quality assurance tools.
